Indigenous Climate Action attends the Assembly of First Nation General Assembly July 12-14, 2016

Indigenous Climate Action attended the AFN General Assembly in Niagara Falls last week. While we were there we had the opportunity to have a table in the trade show area. We we so lucky to have our table visited by so many amazing people and leaders including Dene Elder Francois Paulette, Mohawk leader Ellen Gabriel, Chief Tony Alexis from Nakota Alexis First Nation, the newly appointed Director of Indigenous Relations & Regulatory Affairs, Jesse McCormick and many more. Webinar - Climate Change and Indigenous Rights July 7th, 2016

Indigenous Climate Action will hosted a free webinar on Thursday, July 7th with Ellen Gabriel, Art Manuel, and Chief Bill Erasmus moderated by Erica Violet Lee. The speakers provided an overview of the current federal climate change policy development process, the importance of Indigenous rights and involvement, and how to put Indigenous climate action into practice.
