Indigenous Climate Action
Stories of Resilience
Call out for Journal Submissions
Indigenous Climate Action (ICA) wants to hear from you!
We are creating a new online journal entitled Indigenous Climate Action: Stories of Resilience and we need your essays, stories, poetry, artwork, videos or other creative mediums for our inaugural edition. This online journal aims to house academic and creative pieces that share experiences, stories and expertise of Indigenous peoples taking action on climate change.
If you’re an Indigenous person who would like to share your climate project, initiative or stories of how the climate crisis is affecting you and your community, we want to hear from you.
If your piece is selected, you will receive an honorarium, promotion of your work through ICA’s social/digital channels, opportunities to collaborate with ICA and our partner organizations in the future and have your work published and distributed to our network of Indigenous and non-Indigenous climate action leaders.
Essays should be no longer than 3000 words, poems should be no longer than a page (some exceptions apply) and images should be of high resolution, and when possible, a vectored image should be included in the submission.
Please try your best to meet these parameters although If your piece does not reach them, we still encourage you to apply. If your piece is selected, ICA will work with you to edit and enhance your piece to ensure it will work well within the journal.
To submit, fill out this APPLICATION form and follow the instructions.
Deadline for Submissions: July 30th, 2018
