Indigenous Climate Action Youth Needs Assessment

Indigenous Climate Action would like to invite Indigenous youth in so-called Canada (aged 18-30) to take the Indigenous Youth Needs Assessment Survey.

Now more than ever, leadership from Indigenous youth is needed to guide the transformations for a just and sustainable future. To better understand the needs and challenges affecting youth in our community, ICA is conducting a needs assessment for Indigenous youth currently engaged in advocacy work in the areas of climate justice and Indigenous rights.

This process will determine the barriers and challenges faced by youth in the movement, and the direction where the ICA youth program should be focusing our work. By learning from your experiences, we hope to explore solutions and opportunities that empower Indigenous youth activists. Research findings will be used for future programming and publications, as well as a Masters student’s thesis project (in collaboration with ICA).

To honour your knowledge and give reciprocity, survey participants can enter to win one of three cash prizes! Please complete and share the survey before the deadline on July 31.

Join us in this journey to empower youth and strengthen the Indigenous rights and climate justice movements. For more information, please reach out to Nigel (nigel@indigenousclimateaction.com) and/or Farron (farron.rickerby@ouce.ox.ac.uk).
