Indigenous Economics Conference

For the first time, Indigenous Climate Action is partnering with the Canadian Society for Ecological Economics to host a 3-day conference for Indigenous Economics: Reclaiming the Sacred. Taking place virtually from June 10-12, 2021, this conference will focus on 4 different themes of achieving a Just Transition to Indigenous-led, land-based, and ecologically-centred environmental action and economies. New ICA Report: Critique of Federal Climate Policy Plans

Indigenous Climate Action, in collaboration with researchers Dr. Jen Gobby, Rebecca Sinclair, and Rachel Ivey, have released an in-depth critical analysis of Canada’s recent climate policy and plans: the Pan-Canadian Framework on Clean Growth and Climate Change (PCF) and A Healthy Environment, A Healthy Economy (HEHE). This is the first phase of a two part Decolonizing Climate Policy in Canada project.
