Elder Teaching with Brenda Lee: Teachings of the Bull Moose

Elder Teaching with Brenda Lee: Teachings of the Bull Moose
Hosted by Indigenous Climate Action (ICA) and Jess Sanderson-Barry

📅 December 16, 2025
🕐 4:00–5:00 PM MST / 6:00–7:00 PM EST
📍 Online (Zoom Webinar)
👥 Open to Indigenous participants only

Join us for an intimate and grounded Elder teaching with Brenda Lee, as she shares wisdom on the bull moose, ceremony, climate, education, and our roles and responsibilities as stewards of the land.

Through story and reflection, Brenda will guide us into a deeper understanding of balance — in our spirits, our families, and our relationships with the land, water, and more-than-human relatives. Together, we will explore what it means to live our responsibilities in a time of climate disruption.

This online gathering is a dedicated space for Indigenous participants only, to support cultural safety, connection, and relational learning.

In this teaching, Brenda will speak to themes such as:

  • Teachings of the bull moose and what they reveal about strength, humility, and responsibility

  • Ceremony, story, and the role of Elders in guiding us through change

  • Climate, seasonal cycles, and how we understand shifting conditions on the land

  • Balance in our roles, our households, and our communities

  • Living as stewards of the land and upholding our responsibilities to future generations

This event is part of ICA’s Online Elders Knowledge Sharing on Climate / Seasonal Grounding Sessions, centering Indigenous knowledge and leadership in climate action.

All tips and gifts offered during this event will go directly to Elder Brenda Lee in gratitude for her time, teachings, and care.
