Jaida Deranger

My name is Jaida Deranger, I am Denesuline from Treaty 8 and a member of Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation. I am Assistant to the President at Indigenous Climate Action/Woven Project. I predominantly grew up in Edmonton, AB but am now based out of Vancouver, BC. Even though I grew up in the city, I was still very often involved in community, ceremony, and understanding the importance of Indigenous rights. I have a Bachelor in Education and experience working as a Social Studies and Art teacher and will continue to teach knowing the value of the work of Indigenous Climate Action (ICA) in supporting new generations of leaders in Indigenous rights and climate movements.
