I have been a facilitator for ICA in the past; recruited when studying native studies at the University of Alberta. I have my community linguist certificate now, also with the U of A, and have done a Family Cree Immersion summer camp on my home reserve in 2017. It just seems that my beliefs line up perfectly with ICA beliefs, especially the protection of mother earth. I now have my B.Ed. from the U of A and just spent the year teaching in a small dene community just south of Fort Mcmurray. I have now seen first hand the damages of oil production and really want to step up and do more to protect our mother earth, Hai hai.
