Skw'akw'as (Sunshine) Dunstan-Moore (She/Her) is of Nlaka’pamux, Stl’atl’imx, Yakama, and of Irish descent. She is a proud youth from Tlekemstin (Lytton), British Columbia. Her name, Skw'akw'as, translates to "Sunshine" in nɬeʔkepmxcín, and she proudly embraces both names.

Skw'akw'as served on Environment and Climate Change Canada’s Ministerial Youth Council, chairing the council from 2022 to 2023. She represented the council at COP28 in Sharm El Sheikh and participated in the First Nations–Canada Joint Committee on Climate Action. In the summer of 2024, she completed a Parliamentary Internship with Environmental Leadership Canada. During this time, she worked in the office of Senator Mary Coyle in the Senate of Canada and co-authored a discussion paper examining the racial, ethnic, and gender identities of House committee witnesses. Skw’akw’as also served on the 2025 Y7 Secretariat, co-chairing the Peace and Security Track. In this role, she facilitated discussions with youth delegates from G7 countries and the European Union on topics including human rights, international governance, security policy, and global conflicts.

Skw'akw'as is committed to empowering BIPOC youth to take up space within colonial structures and advocates for an intersectional and anti-colonial approach to policy development, education, and discourse. As a Swiftie, she frequently listens to "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?" while navigating colonial spaces.
